What is an 'envelope'?

An envelope is one signature request. It can contain one or many documents, and be routed to one or many recipients. Once you hit Send, it counts as a single envelope against your monthly limit, regardless of how many pages or signers are inside.

How many envelopes do I get on each plan?

Starter includes 25 envelopes/month, Professional 150, Business 500, and Enterprise unlimited. Limits reset on the first of each month.

What happens if I go over my monthly envelope limit?

We never charge surprise per-envelope overage fees the way Adobe and DocuSign do. If you're consistently brushing the limit, we'll prompt you to upgrade to the next tier, and you can move up (or back down) at any time with prorated billing.

How many pages can one envelope contain?

Starter and Professional: up to 100 pages / 25 MB per envelope. Business: up to 500 pages / 100 MB. Enterprise: unlimited pages with custom file size limits. For reference, Adobe Acrobat Sign caps around 1,000 pages and DocuSign around 2,000, but 90%+ of real signature requests (NDAs, engagement letters, tax forms, MSAs) are under 50 pages.

What is the maximum file size per envelope?

No. Envelope counts reset at the start of each billing month. We keep pricing flat and predictable rather than charging for stockpiled credits.

There is no hard recipient cap. Send to one signer or fifty, they all count as a single envelope.

Can I control the order recipients sign in?

Yes. Professional and above support sequential routing (Person A signs, then B, then C), parallel routing (everyone signs in any order), and conditional routing (route to a manager only if the amount exceeds $X).

No. Recipients click the link in their email or SMS, sign in their browser, and they're done. No account, no app install, no friction.

Yes. Every envelope is governed by the US ESIGN Act and UETA, captured with a full audit trail (IP, timestamp, device, signer identity), and paired with a completion certificate suitable for court or regulatory review.

What happens to my documents if I cancel?

You get a 30-day export window after cancellation to download everything, signed PDFs, ESIGN/UETA completion certificates, templates, and CSV audit logs. After 30 days, your account and documents are permanently deleted. We recommend downloading your completion certificates before the window closes since they may be required for IRS, HIPAA, or other audits for up to 7 years.
